Company DNA
Company DNA is what Prosli learns about your business, so it can hire for the company you actually are instead of a generic template.
Where it comes from
At onboarding (and on demand afterwards), Prosli reads two public sources:
- Your website — your home, about, careers, and blog pages, to understand what you do, who your customers are, and your stage and culture.
- Your public GitHub — your repositories, the languages and topics they use, and the READMEs of your top projects, to understand the stack you actually build with.
Crawling is polite and public-only: Prosli identifies itself, honours robots.txt, and keeps request rates low. It never reads anything private.
What it captures
Prosli distills those sources into a compact profile: what your product does, your industry and stage, your target customers, technical stack signals, and culture signals — with the exact pages it read recorded as provenance.
How it is used
Company DNA grounds the whole platform:
- Job descriptions are written in your voice and reflect your real products and problems.
- Interview questions for technical roles are calibrated to the stack your code actually uses.
- Recommendations weigh a candidate against how your team actually ships.
Editing and refreshing
Your DNA is fully editable in Settings — your curation always wins. Auto-generated DNA is refreshed over time as your site and code change, so the grounding never goes stale. If Prosli could not read a source, it says so plainly rather than guessing.
